Water flips top and bottom

OriginalWater imageleft stays left · top flips down

Use the water line as a horizontal mirror: left/right stay fixed; features above the line move equally far below it.

Apply the horizontal flip

Every feature above the line moves equally far below it. Features on the left stay on the left; clockwise order may look reversed vertically, but it is not a left-right mirror image.

Use anchor features

Check text direction, a dot near an edge, a sloping line and any unequal shape. Reject an option immediately if its left/right position has changed.

OlympIQ exam lens

  • ✓Keep left and right unchanged.
  • ✓Swap top and bottom at equal distance.
  • ✓Check one asymmetric anchor feature.
OlympIQ trap

A water image is not a mirror image: a mirror swaps left and right, while water swaps top and bottom.
