Privacy Policy
OlympIQ is an Olympiad discovery and preparation app for NEET, JEE and Olympiad aspirants. This page explains, in plain terms, what information the app collects, why, and what control you have over it.
Who this policy covers
This policy applies to anyone who uses the OlympIQ mobile or web app. If a student is using OlympIQ under the age of 18, we recommend a parent or guardian reads this policy together with them and is involved in creating the account, since account creation requires an email address.
Information we collect
We collect only what's needed to sign you in and personalize your Olympiad roadmap. Nothing here is sold, and nothing here is used for advertising.
How we use your information
- To create and sign you into your account, without a password
- To recommend Olympiads that fit your class and subjects
- To personalize Chapter Intelligence, Topic Intelligence and Career Bridge to your profile
- To respond if you contact us for support
We do not use your information to build an advertising profile, and we do not share it with data brokers.
Where your data lives
OlympIQ's account and profile data is stored with Supabase, our backend infrastructure provider, in an encrypted database. Data in transit between the app and our servers is encrypted (HTTPS/TLS). Supabase acts strictly as our data processor — it does not use your data for its own purposes.
Sharing your information
We don't sell your data, and we don't share it with third parties for their marketing purposes. The only sharing that happens is with the infrastructure provider named above, solely to operate the app.
Children's privacy
OlympIQ is built for students from around Class 4 through Class 12, which means some users are children. We collect the minimum needed to run the app — email, name, class, and optionally school and phone — and none of it is used for advertising or shared with third parties. If you're a parent or guardian and want to review, correct, or delete your child's information, contact us using the details below and we'll act on it directly, without requiring the child to do so themselves.
How long we keep your data
We keep your account and profile information for as long as your account is active. If you request deletion, we remove your profile and account data from our systems, typically within 30 days. Progress data stored only on your device is removed the moment you uninstall the app, or you can clear it any time from your device's app storage settings.
Your choices
- Access or correct your data — update your name, class, school, or phone any time from your profile in the app.
- Delete your account — email us and we'll delete your account and associated profile data.
- Sign out — signing out at any time stops the app from associating further activity with your account until you sign in again.
Security
We use industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest through our infrastructure provider, and sign-in uses a one-time emailed code rather than a password, so there's no password of yours for us — or anyone who breaches us — to expose.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll update the effective date at the top of this page. Continuing to use OlympIQ after a change means you accept the updated policy.
